Camerdle is a daily guessing game for camera nerds. Every day a new camera from photographic history — anything from a folding rangefinder to a modern mirrorless body — is loaded into the chamber, and you get 8 guesses to identify it. Each guess is checked against the real camera across eight categories: brand, type, format, lens mount, focus system, country of origin, release year, and genre, so every attempt narrows things down whether or not it's an exact match.
The archive spans well over a century of camera design, from early film SLRs and rangefinders to today's mirrorless and compact digitals, and each puzzle ends with a short history note on the camera once you solve it (or run out of frames). A new camera goes into rotation every 24 hours, and your streak and guess distribution are saved locally in your browser.

In focus — exact match. Close — partial overlap (Genre only). Out of frame — no match. On Year and Format, an arrow tells you whether the answer sits higher/bigger (▲) or lower/smaller (▼) than your guess.
